In 1961 Bernard D. Leasure, a former English teacher holding BA and MA degrees, began teaching driver education. Shortly thereafter, he founded Leasure’s Driving School. Mr. Leasure’s educational wisdom in driver training is the result of over 40 years of teaching experience in the Washington County high school system as well as in his own Professional Driving School. His passion for quality education, integrity, honesty, and organization in business is at the forefront of our company today.

In 1977, as Leasure’s Driving School continued to grow, Mark E. Leasure, founder's son, became a licensed instructor. In 1996, Leasure’s Driving School became jointly owned by the father and son team of Bernard and Mark. In 2002, the company became incorporated.

Three generations later, we’re still family owned and operated. We continue to stand firm to Mr. Leasure’s original passion for quality education, integrity, honesty, and organization in our business.
